De organisatie nodigt ieder van harte uit voor  de vijfde editie van het International Photo Festival Leiden (IPFL), die start op 17 september tot en met 31 oktober 2021. Zes weken lang is op de Singelparkroute in Leiden de gratis toegankelijke buitententoonstelling te bezoeken waarin het werk te zien van nieuw fotografietalent uit binnen- en buitenland.

Welke exposities zijn er te zien?

• Expositie IPFL-fotografen, 5e editie 2020-2021
Elke twee jaar organiseert het IPFL een wedstrijd voor opkomende professionele fotografen uit Europa. Voor de 5e editie heeft de vakjury 15 fotografen geselecteerd uit ruim 125 inzendingen. De winnaar van deze editie is Jesper Boot, met zijn serie: Power.

• Expositie Alumni IPFL-fotografen, eerdere edities
Deze lustrumeditie is niet compleet zonder een expositie met nieuw werk van ‘oud’ IPFL-fotografen die zich hebben ontwikkeld tot professioneel fotograaf.

• Expositie Leidse fotografen
De lustrumeditie is ook een Leids fotofeestje. De Leidse Amateur fotovereniging (LAFV) toont een selectie van 20 prijswinnende foto’s uit de Bondsfotowedstrijd 2020. Ook is er nieuw werk te zien van de eerdere Leidse Stadsfotografen.

• Expositie IPFL x Photoville & IPFL x HeadON
Een selectie van opkomend Amerikaans en Australische fototalent is te zien in een speciale expositie langs de Singelparkroute. Sinds 2014 heeft het IPFL een uitwisseling met twee gerenommeerde internationale fotofestivals: Photoville, New York en HeadOn, Sidney.

Welcome to the fifth edition of the International Photo Festival Leiden (IPFL), which will take place from 17 September until 31 October 2021. During these six weeks we will showcase the work of new photography talent from the Netherlands and Europe in a free outdoor IPFL-exhibition along the Singelpark route in Leiden.

The IPFL 2021 exhibitions

• Exhibition of IPFL photographers, 5th edition 2020-2021
Every two years the IPFL organises a competition for emerging professional photographers from all over Europe. For the 5th edition the jury has selected 15 photographers out of over 125 entries. This edition’s winner is Jesper Boot with his series ‘Power’.

• Exhibition of IPFL – photographers of previous editions
This anniversary edition is not complete without an exposition of new work made by IPFL photographers from previous four editions who have developed into professional photographers.

• Exhibition Leiden photographers
This lustrum edition also celebrates photography in Leiden. The Leiden Amateur Photo Association (LAFV) showcases a selection of 20 prize-winning photos from the Federal Photo Competition 2020. There will also be a show of new work by previous City Photographers of Leiden.

• Exhibition IPFL x Photoville & IPFL x HeadON
A selection of emerging American and Australian photo talent can be seen in a special exposition along the Singelpark route. Since 2014, the IPFL has had an exchange with these two renowned international photo festivals: Photoville, New York and HeadOn, Sidney.
