Visit the World Press Photo Exhibition 2022 on its worldwide tour showcasing the stories that matter with photography from the 65th annual World Press Photo Contest.

The winners were chosen by an independent jury that reviewed more than 64,820 photographs entered by 4,066 photographers from 130 countries.

Over de tentoonstelling

Deze tentoonstelling toont de winnende foto’s en producties van de jaarlijkse World Press Photo persfotografie wedstrijd.

Volgend op de nieuwe strategie van World Press Photo Foundation is de wedstrijd dit jaar onderverdeeld in 6 regio’s (Afrika, Azië, Europa, Noord- en Midden-Amerika, Zuid-Amerika, en Zuidoost-Azië en Oceanië) en zijn er 4 categorieën (singles, stories, long term projects en open format).

De 24 winnaars die hieruit voortkomen zijn gekozen door een onafhankelijke gespecialiseerde jury uit de overeenkomstige regio’s. Uit deze 24 regionale winnaars zijn ook 4 global headline winnaars gekozen; World Press Photo of the Year, World Press Photo Story of the Year, World Press Photo Long-Term Project Award, en World Press Photo Open Format Award.
